Ok, so maybe you pictured your summer strolling in central park, sharing soft served Ice cream cones, and stumbling head over heels in love.
Or maybe you pictured your summer, exactly how you have spent the last three or four months (maybe longer) devastatingly and miserably, single.
Well here I am to convince you on why you should love being single, and not why you should loathe your days being alone and without a rock on your finger.
Every red-blooded guy in America whose newly single, enjoys it (despite the sweet talk). If his out having fun, and not over analyzing every detail of last weeks tequila tragic incident, or break up… then, nor should you.
Your days on the market are limited, so use them wisely. Know not to look for love and it will come to you when you least expect it. Even if you want to stop loving him or openly hate him, you know your in love when it exceeds your hatred and point blank: there is nothing anyone can do to change that.
As they say “If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, it’s yours forever. If it doesn’t, then it was never meant to be.”
Now back on track..why you should LOVE being single
1) Your days are free to read magazines, go out with friends and head to the Hampton’s on weekends. You no longer have the responsibility of a committed relationship or telling whatshisname where you are every second.
2) Summer is the perfect time to reinvent who you are and your look. Single ladies don’t have to deal with a pouty boyfriend who is adamant “he loves you just the way you are” wearing zebra pajamas and your hair up.
3) Liberate yourself with technology and actually relax without constantly being a slave to your cell phone. Exchanging text messages and phone calls can wait and if his boyfriend worthy-so can he!
4) You won’t have to waste a single minute of your summer on girlfriend duty. Instead of suffering through a guys boring company party, camping with his frat buddies, or almost burning your kitchen down on a dinner he doesn’t like, you are free to do whatever the hell you want.
