I was hesitant to share my usual “what I eat in a day” after being told from a random account on IG that I eat way too much. Mega YIKES! I’m always transparent with my posts. I admit to indulgences, and picking at food here and there. If I want a bite of a bagel bite, I have a bite.
I share these posts as a guideline. Sometimes after posting I have hot chocolate or a few squares of chocolate, and don’t feel the need to backtrack and edit a post. Im certainly not a RD or nutritionist, but throughout my life-i’ve been to some of the top nutritionists in the world, and last July decided to take a CPD accredited course in health and nutrition (for no reason other than curiosity) –so it’s fair to say I have a good idea around it all!
Everyone is completely different. I try to live by the F-Factor principles (high fiber, low carb, with moderation of protein and fat), but not perfectly. On day’s that I need a little bit more freedom (than structure) I use MyFitnessPal and my calories vary per day.
Breakfast 830am
- 1/2 cup Fiber one cereal
- 3/4th cup greek yogurt
- 1 cup Frozen Raspberries
Thoughts: This was delicious and filling. I also love combining frozen berries/yogurt with pro granola. I tried this yesterday and it reminded me of a berry crumble pie (for breakfast!)
Lunch 12pm
- Large snap pea/mixed green salad with tomatoes and topped with an egg white scramble (made with FF cheese and riced cauliflower for flavor) For the dressing with this one I got creative. I mixed a little bit of G-hughes sugar free ketchup with apple cider vinegar to make a Russian type of dressing. I loved It!
- 1 GG Cracker on the side
Thoughts: Next time I will omit the cheese. You couldn’t really taste it between the cauliflower rice, lettuce, and dressing. The GG Cracker was an after thought. Def would have been better to save GG’s for snack and pair with a LF string cheese (or something of the sort..)
Snack 3pm
-
- FF Icelandic yogurt with 1/2 cup frozen grapes (This is obviously not a F-Factor step 1 snack so modify as needed)
Dinner 6pm
-
-
- Mixed green salad topped with shrimp stir fry and a side of seaweed. For dressing I used balsamic vinegar with a dash of low sodium soy sauce.

After all of that I still wanted to end the night with something sweet so had SF jello with FF whipped cream. Aside from breakfast, my meals are mainly veggie and protein based- so do I feel guilty about a day like today? No. Do I know the F-Factor guidelines to jump right back on track with? absolutely. The following is more of a Step 2 day on F-Factor due to a second serving of fruit/yogurt and water chestnuts in the stir fry.
