When my mum first invited Aspen and I to Disney World in September, I was quick to say no. Work aside, I couldn’t think of anything worse than screaming kids and long lines. Thats when I realized that it was time to be selfless. Just because I didn’t necessarily long to go to Disney-didn’t mean that Aspen wouldn’t enjoy it. Three days before they were due to fly out, I called Jet-blue and booked us onto the flight.
We all stayed at the Polynesian Resort where I have been staying (and my mother has been staying!) since we were children. The theme is Hawaiian, so shortly after arriving you are greeted with Leis and kapa prints on every turn. In addition to the Magic Kingdom, we were able to fit Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney into our six day stay.
On our third night we attended “Mickey’s not so scary halloween parade” this was probably my favorite night. I even had a glass of wine before hand (thank you club level perks) and dressed up as Cinderella for the kids entertainment. Theres limited tickets available for each night, which means shorter lines, less chaos and unlimited candy!
