Hii and good morning from the girl who woke up at 12.30am for the day. I will say that I tried sleepy time team last night which had ravishing reviews but backfired immensely. Of course i’m aware that the insomnia could have also stemmed from having 2 double espresso shots at 530 in the morning along with a large Diet Coke but I digress.
I’m not sure where to start because the world is so incredibly heavy right now and it feels like we’re living inside of a nightmare thats coming to the surface bit by bit, so just know if you’re feeling the same way and need to plug off of social media for a while, I don’t blame you in the slightest.
In happy media news, Margo Robbie and Jacob Elordi stole the spotlight yesterday at the London premiere of in Leicester Square. Robbie turned heads in a striking custom sheer corset gown by Dilara Findikoglu that echoed the gothic intensity of her character, while Elordi cut a brooding figure in a slate-gray ensemble that felt perfectly in tune with the film’s moody romanticism. Despite a sudden rain shower, the pair appeared unfazed, with Elordi even shielding Robbie as they posed for photos creating a real-life echo of the tempestuous love story they bring to the screen. Is anyone else on a countdown until the movie releases on February 13th?

Molly-Mae Hague and her partner, boxer Tommy Fury also revealed yesterday that they’re expecting their second child together. After sharing a heartfelt black-and-white Instagram video featuring their daughter Bambi proudly declaring “I’m going to be a big sister,” Molly-Mae simply captioned it “soon to be four,” marking an exciting new chapter. The announcement comes after the couple navigated a highly publicized breakup in 2024 and reconciled in 2025, showing that love and family can grow even stronger through life’s ups and downs. Was I googling if Molly Mae was pregnant last week after spotting a pregnancy pillow in one of her YouTube vlogs? absolutely.
On Wednesday, Natalie Joy and Nick Vial shared their pregnancy announcement, revealing that they’re expecting twins. The couple, who are already parents to their two-year-old daughter, River Rose, posted heartfelt family photos alongside sonogram images on Instagram, captioning the moment, “our rainbow babies are finally ready to join us and this time it’s TWINS.” The announcement carries extra weight after a difficult year marked by three miscarriages, making this milestone feel especially emotional and hard-won. Their openness about fertility struggles and the resilience they’ve shown throughout has deeply resonated with fans, who have flooded social media with love, congratulations, and well-wishes as they prepare to welcome two new additions to their growing family.
Of course the news has been absolutely terrible this week, so instead of writing about that I thought I would focus on the good. But lets jump right in to my favorite segment where I share all about my week in the Friday brief:
What I’m Reading:
Guilty confession, I finished 52% of the wedding people and decided the book just wasn’t for me. I know people absolutely loved it and I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed parts of it, but I just wanted something less surface level at the moment that really helps my mind escape. I have a long list of books that I want to get through but just purchased Heart The Lover and i’m so excited to dig in. Just a heads up that there are 168 copies on hold if you use the Libby app so I highly recommend purchasing this one unless you want to read it in 2027.
What I’m Listening to:
On The Diary of a CEO, Alzheimer’s prevention expert Louisa Nicola emphasizes that cognitive decline is not an inevitable consequence of aging but is deeply influenced by daily habits. She explains that sleep quality, blood sugar regulation, cardiovascular health, stress management, and resistance training all play a critical role in protecting the brain. Nicola highlights that the brain thrives on challenge and recovery which means consistent movement, learning, and adequate rest. She also stresses that chronic inflammation, poor sleep, and prolonged stress quietly accelerate neuro degeneration. Her message reframes brain health as something we actively train every day, not something we passively lose over time.
What I’m Eating:
As always, I eat the same meals on repeat. For a late lunch i’ve been loving a turkey and tomato wrap with a goat cheese and beet salad (made with arugula and iceberg) don’t judge it until you try it because I swear it is absolutely delicious and has SO much flavor that you won’t even miss the dressing. I also ate a delicious Cobb Salad from the Shed which I’m going to try and re-create at home. Why does everything taste better when someone else makes it?

This Weeks MN Curated Finds:
I’m constantly asking myself If I should keep the name of my Substack: Magnetic Nourishment or switch it to Mercedes Chloe so that it is consistent with my blog. The problem is that once you switch names you have broken URL links so i’m always teetering on the side of caution as i’ve had a few name changes (and identity shifts) on here already. It feels right to keep them separate as i’m trying to build a brand outside of myself as mentioned last week but what do you think? (please let me know in the comments!)

- One By One : I’m all for a good kindle read but this book is 30% off and literally cheaper than a latte. I love Freida McFaddens books ever since reading the Housemaid series (which I’m yet to watch on Amazon Prime).
- Mouth tape: I feel like we’ve all heard about mouth tape by now and honestly? I’ve been scared to try it because i’m scared of suffocating. with that said I know that many people swear by it for changing the quality of their sleep and at this point? it’s fair to say i’m desperate to get a goodnight sleep. I just ordered this skinny confidential one and will keep you posted on the outcome
- Hyaluronic Acid: Last year I started to notice sunspots around my eyes which I loathe because it looks like I have two black eyes. My dermatologist recommended hyaluronic acid and this is the one I swear by as someone with sensitive skin.
- Eva NYC Therapy Session Deep Conditioning Hair Mask: I’m not sure what is going on with my hair recently but it’s dry and falling out like no other. I first heard about it from Allie Hiller’s instagram ( Lindsey Metselaar sister!) . What I love about this mask is that It doesn’t cost $50 per tub and is easy to interchange between the more expensive masks. My go to is usually Money orOUAI.
- The chicest snowsuit: This is honestly the chicest snowsuit to date and you can’t convince me otherwise. Yes it’s a designer dupe that will cost you $1900 at Bloomingdales and yes it’s on sale for $319. You’re welcome.
- La Roche-Posay Balm: As someone who can just look at food or a new skin care product and immediately breakout in spots, i’m really delicate when it comes to recommending skin care products. The dry (and brutally cold) winter in New York paired with my dermatologists regime had my skin raw and pealing, so when I tried this I was extremely impressed. It’s nourishing and doesn’t cause breakouts even when used repetitively. I also purchased their hand cream .
- Souls Pilates Socks: Obsessed with this brand after purchasing my first pair on my birthday this year. Let me tell you, not all grips are created equal. Also who doesn’t love carbs?
- Stealing Silver Studs: With valentines coming up I think these are the perfect gift for teenagers. If you didn’t know I have three younger sisters, so I’m always on the lookout for little gifts I can send them at college.
That’s all for today, as always I would love it if you subscribed to my substack, it costs you absolutely nothing but means the world to me and keeps me motivated to keep on writing on. I hope everyone has a wonderful Super Bowl.
