Going to the Bahamas is a summer tradition. This summer we decided to book a last minute trip for Labor Day weekend (we as in Dan who surprised us with tickets despite ludicrous Jet Blue mark ups!).
I have only ever stayed at the Cove, so we decided to stay there again so that we could use the adults only pool “The Cain” and the kids club for Aspen. This was our first trip back after the devastating hurricane last year but not much was different from an aesthetic perspective.
Upon arrival we both commented how empty the resort was.
The beaches, pools and restraunts were all empty. I had asked our driver on our way up if Baha Mar was bringing in competition and the woman said it was.
Overall the two of us were quite disappointed with Atlantis (The Cove) this time around. The service was poor, the DJ at the Cain was bad eaccccchh & everyday and the food options were limited.
We both decided that if we return next year we will try out SLS at Baha Mar. Scroll below for my favorite photos from our trip!
