Where have I been? What have I been up to? and why did I stop blogging? Well, here we are again. Weeks? months? who knows at this point. The good news? I’m back. I’ve been in my content creation era. Truly loving collaborating with brands, adding vlogs to my YouTube (Including our recent Bahamas Trip), and working out short form vs long form content. If it sounds complicated it’s because it is. The algorithm is constantly changing. Each platform is vastly different.
I also had a video on Instagram and YouTube go viral, sharing how I wore a tennis dress to soccer tryouts and ended up feeling like Vivian from Pretty Woman. Incase you’re curious you can watch it here. Between Instagram and Youtube it has almost 100,000k views (and counting). My British humor comes in handy every now and then. Was I immune to absurd comments and hatred on the internet mainly from older men? absolutely not. It’s a tough world to navigate but thankfully one I’m not too fazed by.
So here are a few videos and life updates that you may have missed..
Yes we took a trip to one of my favorite places on earth (The Bahamas) for Aspens birthday. We had so much fun swimming with turtles, trying new food, and meeting the coolest driver ever “Donavin“. Shout out Donavin who gave us a tour of the Bahamas on our way to Baha-Mar from The Cove, and taught us the term “Real talk”.
After the Bahamas I decided that I really wanted to master how to use my camera properly so I’ve been playing around with making vlogs. The hardest part for me is learning how to edit and remembering to press record on simple mundane tasks. Given my short term content is doing significantly better than long term- I may just stick to that. Yet to be decided.
The Forth of July was so much fun. Unfortunately I didn’t make it to the fireworks as I had to get back to Bluebelle but Aspen did and he had a Grand time with my mum and Clementine (my little sister). Except for when a firework went wrong at the beach and he called it a “Temu firework” making us all laugh. I was really proud of how this video came out but I’d be lying if I said that it wasn’t disheartening spending hours recording and editing for something to get a meager 7 views.
Thats it for now. I’m glad to be back typing away xo M
