Have a sweet tooth like me but trying to watch what you eat? I feel like when you type that out, people instantly think you’re on a diet trying to lose weight but that’s so far from the truth. Watching what you eat can be for a variety of reasons from health issues, intolerances or allergies. I can’t pretend like I whipped up the best low calorie brownies you have ever baked at 8 am on a Friday morning, but what I can tell you is that I was so excited to share this one with you.
On another positive note, my Greek Yogurt Lemon Reel on Instagram went viral and received over 10,000k views! If you haven’t seen it yet or baked it yet-you totally should! I try to create videos for all of my recipes, but for this one I took pictures instead. Remember to feel free to sub any ingredients if you have an allergy. I do this all the time as I have a peanut allergy and they workout wonderfully!
Ingredients
- 3/4 Cup fat free greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 Cup almond milk ( I used silk unsweetened vanilla)
- 1/2 Cup GF oats
- 1/2 Cup Truvia or sugar alternative
- 1/4 Cup Lilys Dark Chocolate Chips
- Pinch of salt
- 1 Egg
- 1 Tsp baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees and spritz a baking dish with spray. I used coconut oil spray
- Combine all ingredients until smooth. I used a handheld mixer but you can also use a food processor or a blender
- Pour into baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes until baked fully
- Let cool and cut into squares
Have you baked one of my recipes recently? I would love to see your creations and share them! Be sure to tag me on Instagram @britishnewyorker so that I can see xx also if you tried the best low calorie brownies I would love to hear your feedback or any adjustments. I’m thinking adding walnuts would be a great idea next time!
