Fun fact: When Aspen was a toddler I had a blog dedicated to him. It was called “Cheeky & Chunky” to match his rambunctious personality and..rolls. Fast forward a few years and here we are starting first grade. Back to school looks different than anyone would have anticipated, but I’m happy that Aspen gets two days a week where he can be a first grader (in a classroom setting), and make new friends. For there other 3 school days, Aspen will be homeschooled.
Here are my top 10 buys:
- A Kids desk – I’ve been told this over and over but…it’s important kids have there own learning space. Especially if your child gets distracted easily!
2) Headphones – If you’re balancing homeschooling/working then headphones are important!
3) A cute backpack – When I was a child I used to love picking out new clothes and a new backpack. Have your child pick one that they love! It will build up excitement for going back to school (especially in such uncertain times)
4) Cubbies– This may be extreme but if you want to go all out (or have a little bit of organization OCD..why not create cubbies? These are perfect to store blocks, crayons, and even books in!
5) Supplies – The hour-long lines at Staples are long gone! Why not order everything in one shot? This back to school bundle is perfect from kindergarten to 5th grade.
Happy to hear that!
