There are so many health benefits of Inulin, that I decided to dedicate an entire blog post to it. This is way to long for an instagram post and plus… if I was going to be ordering powder from Monaco on a monthly basis- I would want a lengthier post (and selling point) as well!
First, this post isn’t sponsored. There is absolutely no incentive for me to write this other than sharing products that I love with my followers. So let me start here: all inulin is not created equal. It’s kind of like a knock off bag. You get what you pay for. Can you buy inulin off Amazon? Sure. Will it have the same benefits as Simply Inulin? Absolutely not. I would dive deeper into this topic but I don’t think it’s necessary. Trust me on this one.
I have to admit, I was hesitant trying a new powder after the whole f-factor drama. I did the math and must have spent over $4000 in products that left me bloated and miserable. As a quick disclaimer, I’m not blaming f-factor products but simply put: my body did not (and does not) react well to processed protein powders.
Once I stopped them altogether, my stomach slowly but surely deflated. I was no longer looking 9 months pregnant from the moment I woke up. At first, I was extremely worried about stopping the powders. Would I be hungry? What would I have for snack? Was my body reliant on protein powder for digestion? All of the questions circulated my head before finally being fed up and throwing them all out. The biggest lesson and takeaway I learned from all of this drama, was to do my due diligence before trying a product. Even if there’s hype. Do your own research and make your own judgment. If something doesn’t agree with you or feel right, stop.
So with all of that said, it’s fair to say I vetted Simply Inulin VERY carefully before deciding to try it. Here’s what I noticed within the first week:
- A Flatter Stomach– Dare I say I saw an oblique muscle for the first time since.. pregnancy? (Ok slight exaggeration, but I really was starting to wake up with a flatter stomach)
- Improved Digestion– This one was a HUGE benefit for me. After so many years struggling from an eating disorder, it’s fair to say my metabolism has suffered. The amount of pills I take on a daily basis, JUST for my body to be able to digest food without pain is ridiculous. So if your metabolisms (also) like a snail, I highly recommend trying.
- Clearer Skin– There’s no need for a science lesson here, but it makes sense. Inulin acts as a prebiotic.
- I was full quicker and recognizing it– Sometimes I feel like a bottomless pit. I tend to eat my emotions which is never a good thing, but adding inulin into my diet has helped me get a grip on this (already). I put 5g of inulin into my frothy coffee every morning and it’s something I truly look forward to.
- Fewer sugar cravings- If you know me, you know that I have a massive sweet tooth. Since starting Inulin, I feel less tempted to dig into the pint(s) of ice cream lingering in the freezer.
Have you tried Inulin yet? What did you think? Let me know in the comments!
