So hear me out..the last time I tried these noodles I was 17 years old longing to be the size of Mary Kate Olsen..or was it Ashley? I couldn’t get over the strong oder and vowed to never buy them again. Even if a cup of Shirataki noodles were equivalent to the amount of calories in my pink bubble-mint gum.
11 years later and I decided to give them another try. I rinsed them religiously and added 1/2 a cup of tomato sauce. With a sprinkle of parmesan on top these noodles were finally edible. Another milestone? Instead of having breakfast AND a packet of Crepini Egg thins for breakfast I finally made F-Factor waffles.
Breakfast 730am
-
- F-Factor waffles with 1/2 tbsp of Choczero maple syrup
Thoughts: Yesterday (hence my silence) I had the worst “eating day” ever. I ate my feelings and fell completely off track. From 930-1130am I had consumed over 1200 calories and written the day off as a bloody disaster. Today was a chance to restart. I deleted myfitnesspal and logged breakfast in the F-Factor app. The stack of wafflers were delicious and kept me full until lunch.
Lunch 12.30Pm
-
-
- Simple salad (iceberg, arugula, and tomato with balsamic vinegar) with a side of Steamed Cauliflower/Carrots/Brussel sprouts (not pictured)
- Shirataki Noodles with 1/2 cup tomato sauce and 1 tbsp parmesan
- % fage yogurt for protein (not pictured)
-
Thoughts: I’m on a noodle/salad kick recently. I came across the combo from @melissawoodhealth and it totally works!
Snack 3Pm

-
- F-Factor Chocolate peppermint Frosty made with 1/8 tsp xantham gum, F-Factor protein powder, 2.5 cups ice, 1 cup almond milk, 1 tbsp Hershey sugar free syrup and a dash of peppermint extract.
-
Thoughts: After finding peppermint extract in the grocery store this morning, I wanted to make a chocolate peppermint frosty! It was delicious. Calorie update? Haven’t tracked a single thing.
Dinner 5Pm
-
-
-
- HUGE (like massive) salad with romaine, iceberg, tomato, cucumber, tuna, cauliflower rice and seaweed dressed with balsamic
- Side of baked buffalo ranch cauliflower (not pictured and green beans)
-
-
Thoughts: I am ridiculously full and really took advantage of the unlimited (non-starchy) vegetables today. Still haven’t tracked a calorie but it’s HARD! Especially from how full I’m feeling. Totally expecting to wake up 10 times heavier. As for curbing my sweet tooth, I told myself that I could have a glass of wine at the end of the day (if I felt like it) but stuck to drinking tea and Nespresso.
