Hello long lost blog! Where have I been? 3 private jets, 2 helicopter rides, and a book full of memories later- I’m back. Reflecting on 2021- It was everything I didn’t know I needed. I finally got closure, quit my full time marketing job to pursue my passion (Real Estate), and started a Youtube Channel (after talking about it for 4+ years). None of these things were easy, however I learnt to embrace the discomfort that comes with change. So lets jump into the main topic of today’s post..Reindeer Chow.
On Christmas Eve (eve) aka December 23rd) , I decided to bake up a storm in the Kitchen. Something I’ve always wanted to make is Reindeer chow (Some refer to this as “Christmas Crack” others refer to it as “Chex Mix”). It was so simple to make and definitely a hit.
INGREDIENTS
- 4 cups Chex mix
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 2 tsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups m & m of choice
- 3 cups pretzels
RECIPE
- Place Chex mix into bowl
- Melt oil and chocolate chips in microwave
- Pour melted chocolate over mix and carefully stir
- Once combined add in sugar ( I used a plastic bag to shake it all up)
- Add in pretzels
- Add in M&M (we used the sugar cookie kind)
- Serve in a dish!
If you haven’t done so already, you can check out more of my dessert recipes on my page here. Baking is something I love to do, but don’t do it enough. I’d definitely credit my grandmother to my skills, who used to bake delicious and creative cakes for each of my birthday’s growing up. I’ve also linked some healthier substitutes like Lilly’s chocolate and swerve powdered sugar if you are trying to be a little bit healthier – but feel free to use whatever your heart desires! Calories don’t count at Christmas. Right?
