January 1st 2021, I had to write it to believe it. Oh what a year it has been! Yesterday as I was scrolling though sentimental instagram posts reflecting on 2020, I decided it was time to bring out my diary. The diary that had hopes and dreams of getting married to my ex that has sat in a draw collecting dust for over a year. You see, I have a love hate relationship with my diary (or journal as they say in America) because It always makes me think on a deeper level.
If you couldn’t tell by the mass amount of content that I have been posting lately, I’m trying quite hard to re-create this blog into my creative outlet. Back in college I was (a little naive) but also fearless. I typed what I wanted, when I wanted without a single fear of judgement. Don’t believe me? Just type “dating” into the little search bar on the top of this page and have a little scroll. I was a riot.
Reflecting on 2020
This year is a big one because it marks the last year of my twenties. I have goals professionally and personally. One of which: To fall in love and live happily ever after. Should I manifest a Harry Winston ring too!? But really, you are the author of your own story. If you want something, write it down and make it happen. Don’t write “I want” but instead, write “I will”. As tough as this year has been, I have learnt to take it one day at a time and cherish each day. Even the tough ones. Here are some highlights from our year:
What was your biggest takeaway from 2020? I would love to hear In the comments!
Wishing you a wonderful 2021. Not many of our plans went ahead last year and it has made us very cautious about making plans. However weβve discovered that we love being in our home together with no places we have to go or things we have to do! I hope your dreams come true xxx
Thank you! Happy new year! xx
