As of February 2021 I became a NASM certified Nutrition and Macro Coach. So what exactly does that mean? A Nutrition Coach is a supportive mentor and wellness authority who helps you feel your best through individual food and lifestyle changes that meet your unique needs and health goals. Instead of focusing on one specific diet or way of living, we focus on your personalized dietary, lifestyle, emotional and physical needs. We work together to help you become the happiest and healthiest version of yourself in a safe and sustainable way.
Within a few months of coaching, I noticed one similarity amongst my clients: They were focused on everything they couldn’t eat rather than everything that they could. This lead me to change my business model, and focus on Macro Nutrition coaching. Macro coaching is the use of nutrition to help an individual shed weight and stay physically fit. This is accomplished by tracking the volume of carbs, protein and fats that you consume daily. Whether your goals are related to weight loss, performance or improving your relationship with food and ending the perpetual yo-yo dieting cycle – Macro coaching ensures that you are making changes compatible with your lifestyle through guidance and support.

The hardest part is getting started, and let me tell you-there is never a right time. Nobody likes change, nobody likes the unknown and nobody likes spending without instant gratification. As a working single mother, I fully understand that everyone has different schedules, commitments and goals which is why I offer a few ways that we can work together:

Online Nutrition Coaching: If you are ready to commit to change and dive in deep, you’ve reached the right place. Choose from 4 weeks ($329) or 12 weeks ($699) This option includes:
- Initial consultation (30-40 minute phone call)
- A detailed guide on what Macros are and how to track them
- Custom Macros and weekly check-ins (Where I asses your progress, offer guidance, answer any questions and make adjustments as needed based upon your progress)
- Weekly check ins via email to help you stay on track
- Unlimited email communication to answer questions
- Shared access and collaborative analysis utilizing your food tracker app of choice (You will be responsible for tracking your weight, measurements and taking progress photos so that you can see your progress)

Based upon your BMI, If you are not a candidate to be dieting or be in a calorie deficit, I will recommend that we focus on a reverse dieting. Reverse dieting is slowly increasing your food intake after a calorie-restricted diet to promote long-term weight maintenance. I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Is a void in your life causing you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from working out in the morning? As we work together, we dive deep into all aspects of your life and come up with an attainable game-plan for change.
Bio-individuality The concept of bio-individuality is that each person has his or her own food and lifestyle needs. So, when experts say, βdairy is good for youβ or βfat is unhealthy,β it doesnβt apply to everyone. My approach is not “cookie cutter” or one size fits all. A low carb high fat diet that worked for your best friend two years ago doesn’t mean that it will work for you. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, Iβll support you in making positive changes that are based on your unique health and wellness needs.
