My eyebrows are like two fury Caterpillars on my forehead, my roots are awful, and to add to my self esteem – my skin is breaking out like CRAZY. One would think that this “Au naturel” lifestyle that quarantine has forced us into, would lead to a healthy glow-but no-not for me. Instead I’m pretty sure the stress has added a permeant wrinkle to my forehead (or two).
The past few days haven’t been the most constructive. Sunday I underrate and Monday I overate (1.5 pints of fro-yo and all). I tried to tell myself that It was my body compensating for the carbs/calories I lacked on Sunday-but needless to say this “binge” (spoon in pint) didn’t make me feel good.
On a happy note, my Zenbasil seeds from Amazon FINALLY arrived. Was I hesitant to spend $20 on flipping seeds? yes. BUT they’ve been lingering in my cart for the past few weeks and I finally decided to give them a shot. Especially because every F-factor/Zenbasil seed smoothie I see on Instagram looks like a cookies and cream milk shake. How could I not? Verdict: It doesn’t taste like Oreo’s blended up in a blender: but it certainly makes the smoothie thicker without altering the taste.
With all of that said, back to normal programing of what I eat in day:
Breakfast 9am
- Fage 0% Greek Yogurt
- 3/4 cup Fiber One Cereal
- 3/4th cup Blueberries
- 1 cup of almond milk with walden farms sugar free strawberry syrup
Thoughts: I know what you’re thinking. “What is this girl 5 with her strawberry milk” TRUST ME-I really don’t know why I’m craving it either-but I am and that’s that. Plus it’s 30 calories with unsweetened almond milk. I enjoy it. You do you. It’s important to listen to your body.
Lunch 12Pm
- Tumero’s wrap (5 net carb) with Avocado, Fat free American, Lettuce, Tomato and Turkey
- Side salad with romaine, carrots, tomato and 1 tbsp FF Italian dressing
- Mix of Roasted veggies (zucchini, broccoli and cauliflower)
Thoughts: I’ve been really bad with boredom eating recently. Even though I’m not bored and i’m constantly swamped with work/teaching Aspen-it’s more like distraction eating! I was finally craving something different from my regular go-to salad-so went with a wrap and a side salad with roasted veggies. It was very filling.
Snack 330Pm

- F-Factor 20/20 smoothie with 1 tbsp Zenbasil seeds
Thoughts: I can’t believe I’m so late adding Zenbasil seeds to my afternoon smoothie. Yes they do add 60 calories but WOW the consistency…. Highly recommend (and see what I mean about looking like a cookies and cream milkshake!?)
Dinner + Dessert 530pm

- Tuna salad with cauliflower rice/seaweed on the side
- SF Jello with FF whipped cream

Thoughts: This salad was refreshing. I used plain balsamic vinegar and dipped the cucumbers in low sodium soy which added a nice twist. Something I will definitely have again!
