Macaroons & Roses are two of my favorite things (Squished and all). I had a relatively low key birthday celebration and Dan told me to pick anywhere in the city to eat.
Unfortunately Aspen was feeling a bit under the weather so I decided to pick somewhere close to eat. Usually I would pick Serafina in a heart beat and pick my go-to salad the Insalatina Di Portofino. But 26 and 2018 is all about changes, so I decided to pick somewhere new to eat.
We tried Felice located on Gold Street. The ambiance was warm and you had a variety of married/engaged couples/business men sharing laughs and food. It was also restaurant week, so they had a three course menu to pick from. Unfortunately they didn’t have apple juice or kids menus-but the french fries were to die for!
I was either going to go for the Branzino alla Griglia or the Zuppa dell’Orto which was a farm vegetable and kale soup. I wasn’t to hungry so I went with the soup and Dan went with the Fusilli al Ferretto which had incredible reviews on Yelp. All in all I would recommend this spot for a date night but wouldn’t say it blew either of our breaths away. One bonus was that the service was prompt.
