I’ve been speaking about joining equinox for months now, last week I finally decided to take the plunge and sign up for all access membership.
If you know me you know that I love routine. I’ve basically eaten a banana for breakfast, worked out at Pop Physique 3-4 times a week, brought a large iced coffee from Dean & Deluca and eaten my custom Sweet Green salad for the past year. Do I ever get bored? Nope. In fact change scares me.
The first time working out at Equinox in swanky SoHo-It took me 10 minutes to mentally workout. Ha! So lets talk pro’s & con’s. Something I dislike are how many few reviews there actually are of classes. This morning I decided to take a class called “The Muse” which Equinox describe as dance inspired cardio with 3lb round weights.
I have to admit-I had no idea what I had signed up for. I even took a yoga mat out to start-only to stand corrected. Within minutes my heart was elevated. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t look at the clock. I certainly did, however the class did go by incredibly fast. My only concern was that the weights were to heavy and I didn’t want madonna arms. Is this a workout that I would do everyday? No. But did I feel rejuvenated and like I had a good workout? absolutely.
Book it or skip it? Book it.
