For the past few weeks I have been debating buying the new apple watch-and by new I mean the one that came out months ago.
I currently have a Letscom fitness tracker that’s sold on Amazon. Not only is it a fraction of the cost of a Fitbit-but it’s also waterproof, tracks your heartbeat, gives SMS notifications, and allows you to add certain exercises for an accurate calorie count.
My only complaint would be the battery and bulkiness. As you can see from the photo – It’s not the best looking accessory when compared to an Apple watch.
So on Sunday I decided to drag Aspen & Dan to Best buy and the Apple store to compare all smartwatches/trackers. The Apple watch was certainly more attractive looking but I couldn’t justify paying $350 for a device that would be upgraded in a few months. Especially when the main features that I wanted (distance, calorie count and text notifications) were available on my $29.99 device.
So the verdict? skip on both and try a Letscom fitness tracker before splurging on name brand devices.
