I knew today would be a bad day when my dog wagged his tail in my (mending) nose, my heel broke (on my way to an interview), and Starbucks ran out of Ice, unable to make my regular coffee frappachino light.

It’s also a week of midterms, meetings, and macaroons to get me through this melancholy week. So as yesterday was mother’s day, I went on a surprise “road trip” to Long Island. Not that traveling 40 minutes in a car is actually considered a road trip, but given that I barely leave Manhattan, any time spent in a car classifies as one (kind of).

While I was home, we went to one of my favorite places to eat “red tomato”. Don’t ask why it’s one of my favorite places, but their margarita and nutella pizzas are to die for. Once waking up this morning, staring at my closet for 15 minutes straight, and finally picking out an “interview” outfit, the right bag and of course appropriate heels (that then broke after 6 minutes of walking), I was finally ready. First I had spreadsheet applications, then I had an interview downtown, followed by a Doctors appointment. Keep in mind that this class/interview/doctors appointment were all within 5 hours of one another. Talk about on New York time! To no surprise going downtown was yet again an experience, so I Snapped away.
