When I think of Fall I think of two things: Apples and Pumpkins. After Aspen went apple picking with my parents last weekend we had an infinite amount of apples leading us to get creative in the kitchen and start baking! I hope you enjoy this delicious Homemade Apple Crumble recipe as much as we did.
Filling
- 2 LB Apples (we used a variety)
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 tbsp white flour
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Topping
- 1 cup oatmeal (I used quick oats)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 125g unsalted butter
- dash of salt
How to..
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Peel, core and cube apples
- Place apples in a mixing bowl and add flour, sugar, lemon and cinnamon
- Toss apple mix and spread evenly in baking dish
- Place topping ingredients into a bowl and mix together until clumps form
- Spread over the apples in the baking dish
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown and enjoy!
